My name is Helen and I am a highly qualified and experienced Fitness and Nutrition coach, having worked in both commercial and corporate fitness facilities since 1997. I strive to help you live the best life you can, built around your circumstances and everything life may be throwing at you! Whatever your goals may be, whether it’s weight loss, body transformation, learning healthier eating habits or just to feel more confident and happy in yourself, let me help guide you on your journey.

Firstly, let me tell you a little about myself! Starting off my career as a dancer I have always been a very active person and love to move my body! I have worked in the Fitness Industry since 1997, working in both commercial and corporate fitness environments. Since 2008, I have ‘juggled’ being a mum of two lovely girls, wife to a very busy husband who travels a lot, and teaching group exercise classes such as HIIT, Strength and Conditioning, Spin and Freestyle Fitness Yoga in local fitness centres! In more recent years, I certified as a Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach as I truly believe that exercise and nutrition go hand in hand, looking after our bodies both inside and out.

I hope you noticed that I used the word ‘juggled’ above! Life throws so many things at us every day it can be difficult not to ‘drop some of those balls’ and feel totally deflated and overwhelmed by it all.

In a world where we are bombarded, particularly on social media with the image of so-called perfection, it’s no wonder so many people feel a bit hopeless when it comes to having a positive body image and feeling confident and healthy in who they are. This is where I want to help you!

Maybe you are a mum who wants to regain some of your body and self confidence after spending much of your time as a care giver? Or a woman going through peri to post menopause who needs help managing the many symptoms associated with this stage of their life? Maybe you’ve never set foot in a gym or exercise class in your entire life but need the right person to help guide you and grow your confidence? Are you that person that’s tried every ‘best diet’ out there restricting yourself, which works ok for a while, but then old habits creep back in and you end up back where you started and feeling a failure?

My approach to fitness and nutrition is about what works well for you in the here and now. There is no ‘one size fits all’ method. We are all different human beings with a multitude of things that may affect the choices we make each day. We have good days where it’s all going great. We have a great workout, eat nutritious food, and feel good about ourselves. Then there are days where our stress levels are through the roof, the gym is the last place we want to go, and we’ve just finished a whole packet of cookies in one sitting! Life happens and learning how to manage all the curve balls thrown at us can be hard! And here’s the thing……

CHANGE IS HARD…….AND THAT’S OK!

The key thing is to take it step by step and not try and change everything all at once. With a client centred approach to coaching, you will set the focus on what is important to you right now, what actions to work on and what your long term goals are. I treat everyone with the empathy and respect they deserve and to help you find your path to a better level of fitness and wellbeing.

There is no better time than now to start your journey to transform your body and health long term. I want to help you feel fitter, stronger, and healthier. Fitness is for everyone to enjoy and movement is medicine! Instead of the all or nothing exercise and dieting approach, we will work together to find a more sustainable way to the life you want to live. I will help you build new skills and habits that over time will feel like normal everyday practices to you.
